Crossovers I'll write: List the fandoms you'll be willing to cross with HL. Do not get into details. If you have any stipulations about characters in a fandom etc, do not list it. You will either write a fandom or not.
I will try to pair people with crossovers and the like when I see them, but that won't be my sole criteria. Stating that you'd like to receive a crossover will not guarantee that you get one, and vice versa for writing one. This is an attempt to include crossovers in the santa list. I would naturally like to see crossovers, but I don't want to schism them into their own subgroup and dilute the whole writing group number.
The Jinxed_wood Crossover Stipulation: all the stories have to be set in the Highlander universe, even if they use crossover characters (as opposed to having Methos wandering around in the Buffyverse, for example, with nary another Highlander character in sight.). Thanks Jinxed!
FINALLY, should you feel that you NEED to clarify your wants and or needs further, or perhaps you have a few scenarios that you would like to see in a story and you need a few sentences to explain them, I suggest making a post in your LJ addressed to your HLHShortCutter in your LJ. I would note that you have done so and maybe link to it at the bottom of your sign in form.

We have never had issue with this before, but I want to continue the trend of signups taking only one comment. The more you put, the more difficult it becomes to place you, and the more difficult it becomes for your author. Please refrain from laundry lists and overly detailed optional requests.

PREFERENCES: Fun and adventure, hurt/comfort, first time stories, Historical AUs, Duncan/Methos, canon divergent or canon adjacent stories, laughter, character development, angst with happy ending, wacky hijinks, time travel, superheroes, can also be serious i like drama too, sexy times, but can also be gen, relationships romantic or platonic, threesomes or moresomes. Plotty goodness or moody character development. Stories set within the series or stories that explore all the millennia before and after the series. Capers are a blast! Moral quandaries. Duncan and Methos fighting the good fight. ETA: I also sometimes love a good AU.
3. DISLIKES: Out of character, death stories. violence against women, domestic violence, rape, judgmental characters for no reason, character bashing. Duncan bashing of any kind.

1. PREFERRED TYPE/PEOPLE: Duncan, Amanda, Methos, Connor. I love pretty much all the characters on the show, but something with one or more of my favorite four would be ideal. Other faves are Joe, Richie, Tessa, Matthew, Nick Wolfe, May-Ling, Cory, Ceirdwyn, Derek, Alex. Any of these as part of a rarepair or crossover situation would be awesome, as long as it's in grounded in the HL mythology. (HL: The Raven counts!) Or tell me something from their history we don't already know.
2. PREFERENCES: I love relationships, romantic or otherwise. Give some attention to what the characters mean to each other, or how their lives are intertwined, and I'll be happy. Other things I love: caper fic, domestic idylls, post-apocalypse (no zombies, though!!) quickening shenanigans, reunions after long absences, Immortal perspectives on current events or history, Watcher shenanigans, slash, het, gen, femslash (Amanda/Rebecca is great, but I always long for Amanda/f that isn't Rebecca), found family, what-ifs/alternate timelines. (Feel free to un-kill anyone!)
3. DISLIKES: Abusive relationships, cliches, MPREG, transphobia, Methos/Joe (definitely here for their friendship, though), any view of Duncan that involves the words "judgmental" or "clueless" or generally paints him as an annoyance the other characters have to tolerate. (He's my favorite, so if you don't love him, please leave him out! I'll happily read about someone(s) else.)

Favorite Relationships: Methos & Joe, Methos & Duncan, Methos/Duncan, Richie & Methos, multishipper here so just convince me, anyone & anyone, friendships; I also like Connor, Fitzcairn, Cory, Rebecca, Ramirez and a bunch of others I‘m probably forgetting. I don‘t hate anyone so feel free to include whoever you want. Worse case I might not remember who they are.
2. PREFERENCES: Mystery, adventure, period pieces, time travel, angst with a happy ending, drama, heists, Watcher centric stuff. I really do love crossovers and fusions. Feel free to unkill any character you want.
3. DISLIKES: Major character death, character bashing, rape/non-con, kidfic, mpreg, dom/sub, omegaverse, not really into kinks so they probably shouldn‘t be a focus, pwp, angst with no happy ending, tragedy, illnesses (just avoid illness altogether, got enough of that in real life, looking for escapism here ;) ).

Slash - implicit or explicit. As far as any character’s sexuality goes, every major character in Highlander is bisexual on Planet Taz, even if they don’t know it themselves.
2. PREFERENCES: Episode-driven stories. Highlander integrated history fic. Missing time periods/scenes. Historical accuracy is my jam, but crossovers with the paranormal and liminal are delightful, so don’t hesitate to bring on vampires, angels, the Devil, demons, and ghosties.
Oh, and crossovers, especially the ‘into a bar’ type influenced, perhaps, by Roger Zelazny’s ‘A Night In The Lonesome October’. Rachel interacts with an immortal that isn’t Connor. Or she interacts with Joe. Or she falls in love with Joe. Or Amanda. Or both.
Tessa and Amanda have to work together for reasons. Can they find common ground?

Slash, het, or gen are all fine. Drabbles or longfic and anything in between. I am, sad to say, enamored of clichés and crackfic, so if you've been hit with an inexplicable urge to write stories about sex pollen, soul-bonding, wingfic or aliens made them do it, here's your chance.
